Welcome. We are the only privately owned flight school in Farmington, New Mexico. We began offering flight training in September 2020. We are a husband-wife duo who are passionate about bringing quality flight training to this area. We offer training and airplane rental in our two Cessna 172s and our Cessna 172RG.

Idrissa Barry. Chief Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII)

Greetings! My name is Idrissa Barry, I recently moved to Farmington to instruct at Roadrunner Flight School. My aviation journey started back in 2016 after fulfilling my contractual obligation to the Marine Corps. Although I started flying in 2016, I had always been amazed with aviation ever since I was a kid growing up in West Africa, but I never thought it was something possible to achieve. However, after moving to the States, I was fortunate enough to meet some people and have some experiences that made me realize that it was possible to become a pilot, now here I am.

I did all my training from private to commercial in Hillsboro, Oregon and I earned my CFI and CFII in Prescott, Arizona back in 2021. Thus far, I’m enjoying every aspect of my aviation journey and helping others achieve their goals to become pilots as well.

Apart from flying, I enjoy lifting weights, playing soccer, hiking, basically any outdoors activities.

Mike Hulse. Assistant Chief Pilot - Certified Flight Instructor (CFII)

Hey! My name is Mike Hulse, I recently just moved to Farmington to be a flight instructor at Roadrunner Flight School. In 2018 I had the opportunity to go on a discovery flight along the Oregon coast with a United pilot in a Piper arrow. After that day I was hooked and started flight training at Utah State University. I enjoyed my time there and hope to help others catch the same enthusiasm for aviation as well.

Whenever I’m not flying, I really enjoy sports and the outdoors, especially tennis, golf, or soccer.
